Game on!

It's time to take it back, back to the good ole days of simple board games. If you're anything like me, you collect board games. They're there for those rainy days, times you have friends over or just to collect dust.

No? Just me? Okay well jokes aside, we're bringing it! A unknown fact, but every year Zac and I seem to collect more and more games, so we decided it was time to unwrap a few new ones and see who would win. We actually really enjoy playing games together, and Zac is really good at playing them, he gets lucky and he wins so of the time.

The games that made the cut were Operation, Stratego, The Logo board game, and Dad Jokes.

Stratego was the first game we played and to be honest it was actually a lot of fun! It was like capture the flag and pretty easy to play. The Logo Board Game was cool, we learned a few new things and realized it is also very easy to forget the easiest brands too. Dad Jokes was interesting and would be more fun with more people. I lost immediately because I thought all the jokes were funny, and you lose when you laugh or smile - so that game was short. Lastly we played Operation and that was really funny watching each of us fail at a steady hand. It is a lot harder than I remember!

Warning: PG-13 language in the video - Operation was frustrating!

This would be a great activity to do with a group of friends. I think we'll do this again and ask everyone bring their favorite game! We started our game night with homemade pizza, and our mocktails, which eventually turned into cocktails.

We always use this recipe for our pizza dough, its from King Arthur Flour: https://www.kingarthurbaking.com/recipes/the-easiest-pizza-youll-ever-make-recipe

And for our mocktails we used the Monday Non-Alcoholic Gin, Fever Tree Sparkling Grapefruit and Elderflower Tonic from www.zestbillings.com. When we were ready for a cocktail we used the same ingredients and subbed an alcoholic gin for the non-alcoholic gin. Both were very tasty! You can check out the recipe we used for out mocktail with Monday's Gin - instead of soda water we used the Elderflower Tonic Water.

Don't forget to subscribe to the email so you don't miss out on what the activities are. However, if you prefer you can pop back here to the blog to catch up! Follow along on Facebook or Instagram stories to see where and what we’re up to, as well as insider tips on getting ready for your date or activity. I’ll even be going live when getting myself ready, that way you can ask questions and get real time answers from me before it begins!
